“ We visited for my sons 16th Birthday, it's a gorgeous place , I'm recently diagnosed Celiac and the manager went above and beyond for me and my family , the food is amazing , the decor and cleanliness is second to none , highly recommend, my son had a happy birthday hat and cake , and sang to .... we actually came from Wigan my son wanted to play formby golf course where we stayed for the night so we found Don Luigi by chance , will definitely return !! “ If you was going to the Toby in Formby forget it!... We went to Don Luigi's next door .. Great service, great atmosphere, reasonably priced and lovely food we will visit here again the next time we are in this area (June). Staff were great too. Fish (big) n Chips (big) was excellent. My partner had Lamb cutlets, excellent.. Lovely surroundings Very happy Update.. Second time at Don Luig'sin in Formby and they did not disappoint.. We had a full rack of ribs between me and my partner.. Delicious.. I would have took a photo but just got stuck in.. The restaurant was full too. So book your table. The only this I can suggest to improve on it the time it took to get the bill 15 mins asked several waiters too. I had to go to the deck eventually.. As we needed to get going.. ”

“ Was staying nearby for one night. Found this through googling. Turned up without booking but seated straight away. Only reservation - sitting next to a very loud group of teen girls. Possibly would have preferred somewhere in a quieter position. However, absolutely lovely real Italian food. Had a beautiful vegetarian risotto, and my OH had lasagna. He was also really impressed. Garlic bread we had was delicious too. No room for dessert as main was huge. Good value for money too. Will be back if we are in the area again. ”
